Join the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes and the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership as you make your own rain barrel and save more than water! We supply the barrel, parts and tools and show you how to construct a closed, 55-gallon rain barrel system. Barrels can be attached to a standard 3" downspout to collect and conserve rainwater for your plants and yard. It will take about 45-60 minutes to complete the workshop.

 

The completed rain barrel system will fit standard 3" downspouts. Please contact us before you register to inquire about adapters.


A Note on Safety:
This program will be held in-person. To maintain physical distancing requirements, please adhere to your scheduled arrival time (to be selected during registration). We have space for only one participant per rain barrel. Masks are required for all participants.

Cancellation Policy
To receive a full refund, participants must cancel by May 1, 2021 by emailing prange@shakerlakes.org. If you or someone in your care experiences flu-like symptoms prior to the workshop, please contact us to arrange for a pick-up of your supplies and a recording of the workshop to follow along from home.
