Do you want to help make contributions to science? Join us in this online Zoom tutorial focusing on four (FREE!) nature-based apps accessible from your computer or phone. Each app is applicable to the Northeast Ohio region. By sharing your findings on these apps, you can contribute and participate in scientific research through some of the most premiere scientific institutions.
By the end of the session, you will have the knowledge necessary to be able to contribute to one (or more!) of these projects yourself. A FIELD GUIDE TO CITIZEN SCIENCE: How You Can Contribute to Scientific Research and Make a Difference is a guide book to all of the programs in which an amateur scientist can participate - from cloud data for NASA to dragonfly photography to monitoring frogs - with programs designed for all ages.
Two weeks later (Aug. 29), we will meet again to share our problems, issues, discoveries and ideas.
This program is hosted by The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes in partnership with Loganberry Books.
The book is available through Loganberry Books online or at the bookstore at 10% off.
Registration closes on Friday, Aug. 14th at noon after which the zoom log-in information will be emailed to registrants.
